Gregory P. Conlan : In Memoriam

Gregory Patrick Conlan was born June 10, 1945, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He graduated from St. Louis High School in 1963. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1967 and his Master of Arts in history from the University of Hawaii in 1969. Mr. Conlan continued his graduate work in history at the University of Hawaii, completed the course work for his doctorate and began his dissertation. But when he looked around at the opportunities, he wisely saw at the time that the economic future for history scholars was bleak indeed, and so he decided to go to law school. He received his law degree from the University of Hawaii in 1977, a member of the second class to be graduated from the Law School.
Mr. Conlan clerked for our firm in the summer of 1976, after his junior year in law school, and he joined us full-time following his graduation in the Summer of 1977, the year he was admitted to the bar.

Mr. Conlan practiced in the areas of bankruptcy, business litigation, and real estate litigation.

Mr. Conlan died unexpectedly in his sleep on April 5 at the age of 45.
